Protecting your peace isn’t about shutting down or pretending that you don’t have feelings. In fact that’ll just make you care MORE or even cause you to be careless with your own feelings. It’s all about mastering the art of being CAREFREE + today I’ll be sharing the timeless lifestyle tips that’ll help you to protect your peace when real life issues surface.

01 | Focus on your needs First
Yep this might sound controversial but, I’m here to say the quiet part out loud. In whatever you do, take care of your needs first, because the more you care for yourself the better you can show up for others. Anytime there’s a hyper-focus on what’s happening outside of you, it’s typically because something on the inside of you is screaming to be settled. And when you get present + put yourself first, you’ll have enough time to hear it. So focus on your health, wealth, + woes first so that you’ll have enough energy to deal with the cares of this world.
02 | Speak Out
When it comes to overwhelming, stressful, or even chaotic situations sometimes, it helps to vocalize your needs + feelings about it all.
Many people resist speaking up due to the fear of backlash but, expressing (instead of suppressing) your cares is essential to one’s peace of mind. The truth is, sometimes our peace isn’t disrupted because of others, it’s because we refuse to be honest about how we feel in front of others.
So, gentle reminder that it’s not your job to manage anyone’s reaction to your truth or perspective. And if you fear that your feelings could start a social fire, remember that there is a way to express yourself with diplomacy + directness.

All in all, if you feel you have no one to talk to, try therapy or venting in your voice notes. Peace is the art of mastering presence (+ I don’t mean standing outside + becoming one with nature.) At first glance an enjoyable vacay or run outside can seem like being present, but where does your mind wander when it’s all happening? Yeah see, that’s the difference between being at play + being present. Play allows us to escape life but, presence reminds us to embrace it.

This is your reminder to own your personality, quirks, + unique character. Be unapologetic, don’t try to fit into boxes, don’t do anything that doesn’t align with your soul, + especially don’t allow people to convince you that who you are doesn’t have a place in this world.
Your key to inner peace will be removing yourself from any circles or situations that require you to pander or pretend like everyone else. Instead choose what’s real because relief won’t be too far behind.
05 | Seek Clarity instead of Control
It’s tough being the person in the room who can spot chaos because you may be tempted to cut through all the noise + bring forth some order. While it’s true that this ability can be a superpower, if you aren’t careful it can also become your kryptonite.
Having a sound mind isn’t about wielding your way onto others + trying to constantly bring order to what’s outside of you. It’s about learning how to let the chaos happening around you, meet the calm within you.
